I've just discovered CatCam,
and I love it. What a fantastic
idea! It's even got 2 of my cat
wildly purring now!
Will we be able to see MORE
photos?? In the 4 pages that
are up now, I noticed that while
there are several other cats
seen, there are no dogs or
humans... Have there ever
been any??
This is SO interesting! Finally
a look into what our cats get
up to when they go outside...
I'm already wondering if any
of my 9 cats might tolerate
wearing a CatCam... I think
Henry might... I see there's
a link for buying a CatCam,
but it's not active yet- I hope
it will be soon!

I want to see more photos, too because it's really interesting to see your cat doing all these things or meeting other cats!
I have a cat, too and I think it would be very interesting if she has a cam!
greetings

Please understand that I am completely tied up with this whole thing. I will not provide more photos in the next days although a lot of people are very curious about.
I hope to supply the first CatCams to interested fans in the next weeks, so we get their results soon.
I have never seen people on the CatCam photos. I guess one reason is the location. We are living in the USA. Here it is not usual to walk around. If people move then by car...
I found at least one picture that shows part of a dog, but I considered just to show you a selection of pictures which are good.
Regards,
Juergen |

Perhaps it would be interesting to make a slide show of the pics....
If you are interested, I could help you a little bit

Yes, Juergen, I imagine you
must be busy with all this...
it is certainly attracting attention!
I posted about it on my blog last
night, and had a noticeable increase
in traffic, especially from Germany.
And then today I came across
another blogger who had written
about CatCam!
Soon you will need a publicity
agent for Mr. Lee... his photos
will be appearing on T-shirts
and coffee cups. I hope his
fame does not go to his head,
and keep him from going out
and photographing the other,
less famous, cats in your area.
My nine cats want to know if
they can get his autograph, er,
his pawprint.
Perhaps one day you can give
Mr. Lee a video cam, so he can
start making movies?

Hi Juergen!
This idea is great, i have also 3 cats which are sometimes long away.
The foto with the "ufo" gives an idea, how the cats seen with a camera could be easy in danger. I think on military areas or other places, where nobody should know what's going on inside.
Imaging your cat is walking there and some soldier sees her with a cam! What do you think he will do?
This is of course a very unlikely example, but i am sure, you will find more. What about privacy of your neighbors? Before purchasing the cams, you must check the laws.
Anyway, if you will be succesful, I am one of your customer !
Good luck!

I linked to CatCam in my blog, too. But i can't see the traffic (or i didn't find where i could). On the other hand it's a really little blog...
But I love the Idea of the Catcam!

I think your project--which took an enormous amount of skill and patience--is novel and interesting. Not just anyone could do what you did.
I know you didn't intend to make money wit it but since paying for bandwidth is a consideration, you should maybe think about doing a book and some TV appearances. After all, this project does tell we cat lovers what our furry little friends are doing outside all day. That is something many of us did not know!
Another poster mentioned mugs, T-shirts, and the like. All these items could be helpful in covering the bandwidth plus would be a nice "souvenir" of our "trip" with kitty.
I could see this on The Today Show. You (or someone else on your behalf) really ought to contact them. |

I love this!
I live in a part of Canada where this would be completely impractical (even taking a cat out on a leash is an extremely bad idea due to the local predators), so I love to see what your cat gets into. It's great stuff! |

I think that is an important question. I am no lawyer, but i nix - at least in Germany - as long as you do not publish or sell the pictures, there is no problem. I nix the same rule applies, as when taking a picture in a public street, passers by, will show on the photo. But what happens, if my cat walks through the private property of my neighbor and takes a picture of him naked in his garden?? |
